Windows Firewall Ports Opener Script

Recently, I was using a Windows based server to host a private server for an online game. In order for users to successfully connect to the server. I had to open some ports in Windows Firewall as it was blocking the ports.

I created a simple Batch script to aid me in this process. You can download the script below.

  1. Run the script as an Administrator
  2. Enter the Port No. (e.g. 80)
  3. Select the Protocol (TCP, UDP or Both)
  4. Enter a name for the rule or leave it blank
  5. Done!
